Description
The 1L219 Zoopark-1 is a battlefield counter-battery radar system operating in the G band (5.25 to 5.925 GHz). Its primary function is to detect and track enemy artillery and rocket launchers by observing projectiles in flight, thereby locating hostile firing positions and providing targeting data for friendly counter-battery operations. The system employs a space-fed phased array antenna and can simultaneously track up to four targets within an azimuth coverage of 40 to 60 degrees, with an instrumented range of 40 km and a peak power of 30 kW. The Zoopark-1 was introduced into service with the Russian armed forces in 1997.
