Description
The Sapfir, also known as Sapphire, is an electronic warfare (EW) jamming system developed to counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at ranges of up to five kilometers. The ground-based Sapfir system has been developed to detect UAVs from distance of up to 30 kilometers while its jamming signals neutralize the ground control stations at ranges of up to five kilometers. The Russian Army engineering units tested the new truck-mounted EW system within the Special Military Operation in Ukraine in July 2023.
