Description
The Iyushin Il-96-400M is a derivative of the Il-96-400 long-haul, wide-body airliner featuring more powerful PS-90A1 engines, stretched fuselage, improved aerodynamics and composite materials in order to reduce the aircraft weight and achieve greater cabin comfort. The Il-96-400M will be able to transport 370 passengers delivering outstanding comfort and higher levels of safety. In addition to additional thrust the new engines will provide higher fuel efficiency boosting the aircraft’s range. The upgraded Il-96-400M is expected to enter revenue service by 2020-2021. The new aircraft is intended for government and cargo transport.
