Description
The LCR-2020 (Low Coverage Radar) is a frequency-agile naval coastal surveillance radar operating in the C-band (5.25 to 5.925 GHz). It is designed for detecting both air and surface targets, offering better accuracy than S-band radars while being less susceptible to weather attenuation than X-band systems. The LCR-2020 has an instrumented range of 100 nautical miles (185 km) and is noted for its resistance to interference signals. Seventeen LCR-2020 units are currently in service with the Republic of Korea, where they are locally designated as GPS-100, providing coastal surveillance.
