Malachit
The Malachit (РЛС «Малахит») is a VHF-band air defense surveillance radar developed by the Ukrainian company Ukrspetstekhnika, utilizing robust mechanical components from the legacy Russian P-18 radar. Operating in the VHF band, which typically ranges from 155 to 170 MHz, the radar is effective against stealth aircraft, which are often more detectable at these frequencies than conventional aircraft. It features semiconductor components, phase-modulated intrapulse modulation, and a digital signal processor capable of automatically tracking up to 250 targets, with an instrumented range of 400 km and a range resolution of 450 m. The system can be remotely controlled from up to 1,000 m away and can be integrated with other radar systems, such as the PRV-16 height finder and Russian interrogators.
