Description

The 2A36 Giatsint-B is a 152mm 49-caliber towed howitzer featuring a maximum range of 27 kilometers firing conventional projectiles or 40 kilometers with rocket-assisted projectiles. It was introduced by the Soviet Army in the mid-1970s being called the M-1976 by American Intelligence. 2A36 gun is compatible with High Explosive (HE), incendiary, semi-active laser-guided, nuclear or chemical ammunition. Its maximum rate of fire is six rounds per minute dropping to only one per minute for sustained rate of fire.
