Description

The V004 is an X-band (IEEE designation) airborne radar, also known as I-band, installed in the nose of the Sukhoi Su-34 aircraft. It is housed within a duckbill-shaped nose radome and forms part of the Sh14 complex, which integrates additional radar warning receivers and a secondary radar. The secondary radar is characterized by small dipoles distributed across a passive phased array, and the entire system is controlled by the aircraft's on-board computer. The radar has an instrumented range of 75 nautical miles (approximately 140 km).
