Design
The American M6 landmine looks almost identical but is shorter in height and contains 5kg less explosive than the M15.
The bottom of the landmine is crimped to the upper part and the landmine body has a rounded upper edge.
The top of the landmine is taken up by a large diameter pressure plate which has a stepped appearance.
In the center of the pressure plate is a fuze cavity cap which has an arming dial and a three-position selector marked SAFE, DANGER and ARMED.
The M6 has two anti-disturbance fuze cavities, one on the side and one on the bottom.
It also has a folding metal carrying handle mounted on the bottom.
Detector
The M6 can be located using metal detectors under most field conditions and can be defeated by blast overpressure clearance systems.
