Description

The Type 1010 is an L-band Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) operating at 1030 MHz and 1090 MHz. It functions as an Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Mark X system, capable of interrogating transponders in Modes 1, 2, 3/A, or C, or through a sequence of interlaced modes. The system processes transponder replies to generate video outputs for external processing equipment and includes sidelobe suppression capabilities, along with providing synchronizing and suppression pulses for other systems. Its antenna, featuring a 7° beamwidth, can be co-mounted on a primary radar antenna or operated independently, driven by its own DC motor synchronized with the primary radar.
