The Type KVV-90 Goteborg is a class of missile boats The Royal Swedish Navy commissioned four vessels between 1990 and 1993. These missile boats have been designed to carry out anti-surface warfare (ASuW) missions as well as anti-submarine warfare (ASW) operations in the littoral environment. The propulsion system is based on three diesel engines developing 6,390-bhp with three waterjets and a top speed of 32 knots. The electronic gear provided to this boat includes a Sea Giraffe 50HC air and surface search radar, SS301 hull-mounted sonar and TSM 2643 MF variable depth sonar. The weapon system includes eight RBS15 anti-ship missiles, one 57mm dual purpose gun, one 40mm anti-aircraft gun, four 15.7-inch torpedo tubes and four LLS-920 ASW rocket launchers. The torpedo tubes can be replaced with 64 mines.
