Description

The BMP-1AM Basurmanin is an upgraded variant of the BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) developed by Russia to meet the requirements associated with the Special Military Operation in Ukraine. The BMP-1AM infantry fighting vehicle features additional armor, fire suppression system, BPU-1 fighting module and UTD-20S1 engine. The BPU-1 combat module features a 30mm 2A72 cannon and 7.62mm machine gun. Optionally it can incorporate Kornet anti-tank missiles. The UTD-20S1 is a diesel engine developing 300-hp of power allowing a top speed of 65 kilometers per hour and an autonomy of 600 kilometers. The BMP-1AM vehicle is fully amphibious. The BMP-1AM IFV was introduced by the Russian Army in 2023/2024.
