Description
The Emirates Defense Technology (EDT) Enigma is an 8x8 high mobile, armored modular fighting vehicle (AMFV) designed to operate in current and future combat scenarios. The Enigma combines a high level of protection with heavy weaponry without compromising its mobility or its amphibious capability. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Russia signed an agreement in late February 2015 for the supply of AU-220M unmanned turrets armed with a 57mm automatic cannon. The UAE Armed Forces may field the first combat ready Enigmas as soon as 2016.
