Description

The MCM 2800 is a new class of mine-countermeasures (MCM) vessel jointly developed by Naval Group and ECA Group to meet the requirements of the Netherlands and Belgium. The new MCM vessel features an extensive array of unmanned systems to keep the crew out of danger while delivering higher levels of efficiency. Each 2,800-con class ship will be equipped with 10 unmanned systems with roughly 80 drones. Besides, the ship’s shock resistant hull will made of low signature acoustic and electromagnetic materials improving its survivability performing mine warfare missions. The vessel will be equipped with ECA Group’s Inspector 125 unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), A18-M autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), T18-M towed sonars, SeaScan and KSTER-C mine disposal vehicles.
