Azmat
Azmat

The Amzat class of fast missile boats were designed and built by China State Shipbuilding Company (CSSC) for the Pakistani Navy to perform anti-surface warfare (ASuW) in the littoral environment. The first ship, PNS Azmat, construction was completed in early 2012 and was commissioned on April 24. The second ship was commissioned in 2013. These ships feature stealth design, a dual 23mm automatic gun, a Type 730 close-in weapon system (CIWS) mounted on the bridge's roof and eight (4x2) C-802 anti-ship missiles. The second ship of the class weapon system is different with a 100mm gun at the bow, a 76mm gun at the stern and apparently only four (2x2) C-802 anti-ship missiles. The 560-ton Azmat can achieve a top speed of 30 knots and a maximum range of 1,000 nautical miles but it is not well suited for operations in blue water. The Pakistani Navy commissioned two vessels in 2013 and is rumored that could increase to eight fast attack crafts.
