Description
The PSR 3D is an L-band (IEEE designation) or D-band (NATO designation) three-dimensional surveillance radar, compatible with ICAO and EUROCONTROL standards. Designed for civil airport and en-route air traffic control, it features a weather processor for safe air traffic management. The radar operates simultaneously on two frequency channels and utilizes a 5.5 × 2.2 meter planar phased array antenna with 16 linear rows. Digital control of the antenna patterns forms seven distinct pencil beams, each with a vertical beam width of 6 degrees, providing an altitude measurement accuracy of 2,500 feet at 60 nautical miles.
