The AH-64A Apache attack helicopter entered service with the US Army in 1984. Boeing delivered 937 AH-64As to the US Army (821), Greece, Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. Some operators are upgrading their AH-64A helicopters to the more capable AH-64D Longbow Apache configuration.
