Description
The Start-1 is a shortened and lighter version of Start launch vehicle designed to carry lighter payloads into space. Compared with Start, the Start-1 lacks the second rocket stage resulting in a vehicle's length reduction by more than 6 meters and launch weight reduction by 13-ton. The four-stage Start-1 launch vehicle can put into circular polar orbit the following payloads: 490 kg at 200 km of altitude, 370 kg at 400 km of altitude, 275 kg at 600 km of altitude, 185 kg at 800 km of altitude, and 105 kg at 1,000 km of altitude.
