Description

The People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force (PLARF) DF-27 is a new conventional intermediate or intercontinental ballistic missile being developed in China. The DF-27 range may be something between 5,000 to 8,000 kilometers carrying a conventional warhead. The missile may be fitted with nuclear warheads optionally. China may use the new DF-27 to conduct conventional strikes in the event of a potential war with the United States of America. Its development started circa 2023 and may be fielded by 2028-2032.
