Description

The ChangZheng 6, also known as CZ-6 or Long March 6 in the West, is a small liquid propellant space launch vehicle developed by China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT) to place small payloads into Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO). It is based on the 2.25-meter diameter strap-on booster developed for the ChangZheng 5 heavy space launch vehicle family. It is powered by one YF-100 engine burning Liquid Oxygen (LOX)/Kerosene propellant. The first launch was carried out on September 19, 2015.
