UAV-230 Turkish Short-Range Cruise Missile
UAV-230

The UAV-230 is a Turkish short-range cruise missile designed for day and night operations. It is an effective weapon against various targets, including stationary land and sea installations, air defense radar, communication systems, lightly armored vehicles, command centers, personnel, and targets of opportunity. The missile has an operational range of over 150 kilometers, which can vary based on the speed and altitude at which it is launched. It is equipped with a fragmentation warhead, with different versions available to address specific target types. Prior to launch, the system is prepared for its mission after completing the firing preparation process. Once released from the UAV, the missile falls freely for a set period before autonomously igniting its solid fuel engine. The UAV-230 is precisely guided to its target through GNSS-supported inertial guidance, which effectively counters jamming attempts. It operates with a fire-and-forget capability, allowing users to carry out critical missions without having to penetrate deep into enemy territory.
