The Royal Swedish Navy Strb90, also known as Combat Boat 90 or CB90, is a small, high speed, amphibian assault boat designed to carry up to 20 troops at speeds of up to 40 knots. The boats hull has been reinforced to allow delivering troops onto unprepared beaches. These boats are made of aluminum and feature a navigation radar, GPS positioning and communications equipment. The propulsion system consists of two Scania DSI 14 diesel engines developing 625-hp each and two waterjets allowing a top speed of 40-to-45 knots. The basic weaponry provided to the Strb90 boats are three 12.7mm machine guns as well as mines. The Strb90 HSM variant is fitted with the Trackfire remote weapon station. There are variants equipped with RBS 17 Hellfire missiles, Lemur remote weapon station and the AMOS mortar station. These boats can be customized to serve as marine police, pilot ship, firefighter, airport rescue, search and rescue (SAR) and environment control. The Strb90 L is fitted with communications equipment in the passenger compartment as well as computers and antennas.
