Description
BAE Systems Tigerfish torpedo was designed to be operated by British nuclear-powered submarines against underwater and surface targets at up to 16 nautical miles (30 km). The Royal Navy provided Tigerfish torpedoes to its Swiftsure and Trafalgar-class submarines. Tigerfish is being replaced by longer range Spearfish torpedo. Turkey also acquired Tigerfish for its U209 class submarines.
