Description

The S-71M, also referred to as Monokhrom, is an advanced strike unmanned aerial vehicle carried internally by the Su-57 aircraft. The drone is fitted with electro-optical sensors allowing for day/night operations with the weapon operating autonomously or the target validated by an operator. It is possible that the drone is intended to provide Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. The S-71M can be fitted with several warheads including high explosive (HE) and shaped charge. The S-71M drone was test launched for the first time from the Su-57 in August 2024. The S-71M is expected to be deployed onboard the internal bays of the S-70 Okhotnik unmanned combat air vehicle as well.
