ALPiN Turkish Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)
ALPiN

The ALPiN Turkish Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is an innovative unmanned aerial system that transforms a two-pilot helicopter into an autonomous vehicle. It achieves this through the modification of control mechanisms and interfaces, utilizing system-specific servo actuators controlled by our advanced autopilot system. ALPiN is the first unmanned helicopter in Türkiye capable of vertical take-off and landing with the press of a single button. It can autonomously execute assigned tasks and can carry payloads of up to 200 kg, which includes fuel. This UAV is designed to perform various missions at any time, day or night, on both land and sea, and can operate effectively in harsh weather conditions. ALPiN is recognized as the world's most capable and reliable tactical rotary-wing UAV, tailored for challenging tactical environments. It provides essential functions such as intelligence, surveillance, target detection, and reconnaissance (ISTAR), along with significant payload capacity. With fully autonomous take-off and landing capabilities, ALPiN is a unique platform designed to fulfill missions by flying to predefined locations. Key features of the ALPiN include: - High payload carrying capacity - Capable of long endurance flights - Ability to hover for targeted observation - 24/7 surveillance with thermal and night vision cameras - Fully autonomous flight capabilities - ‘Hover’ and ‘pirouette’ functionality for target tracking - Integration of multiple payload options - Versatile applications, including reconnaissance and surveillance missions, power line inspections, cargo transport, mapping, emergency base stations, disaster response, search and rescue operations, agricultural spraying, and communication relays - Expandable autopilot modes tailored to user needs - Optional Mode A/C/S transponder system - Optional air-to-air and air-to-ground communication systems - Easy transport using lightweight tactical wheeled vehicles - Optional real-time image and video transmission - Autonomous target tracking with an integrated camera system (optional) - Optional integration of a GNSS anti-jam system The ALPiN's capabilities also include communication relays, automatic identification system sensors, and logistical support through various lifting methods, making it advantageous for operations in any environment, regardless of time of day. As a VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) system, the ALPiN does not require prepared runways or additional launch or recovery equipment, making it indispensable in complex terrains where traditional airfields are not available. Its versatility allows for applications in reconnaissance, search and rescue missions on land and sea, agricultural tasks such as spraying and soil analysis, as well as weather forecasting and scientific measurements in hazardous areas. The UAV also provides logistical support in mountainous regions and difficult-to-access locations. Advanced algorithms for automatic target detection and identification are enhanced by image processing features supported by artificial intelligence.
