Description

The Lethality Enhanced Ordnance (LEO) is an innovative warhead developed by Northrop Grumman that further optimizes fragmentation characteristics. The new warhead is intended to fit into tactical missile systems providing minimized collateral damage while taking out personnel, armored vehicles and aircraft. The warhead improves results against point and area targets not containing sub munitions while eliminating unexploded ordnance risks. The new LEO warhead was tested in October 2018.
