Description
The Royal Navy’s Type 83 is a prospective destroyer intended as the replacement for the Type 45 destroyers in the late 2030s or early 20240s. The new warships are expected to perform advanced air and missile defense missions as well as land attack missions using cruise missiles. The Royal Navy should commission two-to-four vessels beginning in 2038.
