Description
The RLM-S is a tactical naval radar system operating in the S-band (IEEE designation) or F-band (NATO designation), developed by Linktronic. This radar, which has been in service with the Chilean Navy since 2005, replaced the Thomson CSF Triton-G. It features an air-cooled solid-state transmitter and utilizes a parabolic reflector antenna that generates a cosecant-squared pattern. Key operational parameters include a frequency range of 3,100 to 3,300 MHz, a peak power of 8 kW, and an instrumented range of 100 nautical miles (185 km).
