CAKIR
CAKIR

The CAKIR is a highly subsonic cruise missile developed by Roketsan for launch from a wide range of land, sea and airborne platforms. The CAKIR missile is intended to take out land and onshore targets at ranges of up to 150 kilometers powered by a turbojet. The ground launch missiles can be fitted with a solid fuel booster increasing its range (150+ kilometers), weight (330 kilogram) and longitude (4.1 meters). The CAKIR missile program was launched in March 2022 and a first flight is expected within 2023. The missile should achieve initial operational capability in the 2026-2030 timeframe. The majority of the components including the turbojet engine are manufactured in Turkey. The missile has been designed to fly at very low altitudes avoiding radar detection and using swarm techniques to share information among other (up to four) CAKIR missiles. The mid-course navigation system consists of combination of jam-resistant Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), Inertial Navigation System (INS) and altimeter. The terminal guidance combines imaging infrared (IIR) and radar seekers. A built-in two-way data-link allows for flex-targeting.
