Description
The Turkish Air Force (TuAF) TF-X is a program aimed at delivering a fifth generation multirole fighter by the mid 2020s. The TF-X airplanes will replace the aging fleet of F-16 fighter jets. Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) and BAE Systems signed an agreement for the development of the TF-X aircraft on January 30, 2017. In February 2022, Pakistan Aeronautical Complex joined TAI in order to carry out the TF-X development with the aircraft design to be completed in 2023 and the maiden flight scheduled for 2026.
