Cormorant

The Cormorant, also known as AirMule, is a compact, unmanned, single-engine, Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft developed by Tactical Robotics to operate in obstructed terrain such as mountain, woods and urban areas. Compared with traditional helicopters the Cormorant features internal rotors which make it compact enough to operate in areas forbidden for other rotorcrafts. The Cormorant is intended for both civilian and military customers performing inspection, evacuation and cargo transport missions. The aircraft is powered by a single Turbomeca Arriel 2N engine allowing a top speed of 180 kilometers per hour. The Cormorant fancraft can evacuate or transport up to two persons or carrying a payload of up to 700 kilogram (minimum range) over ranges in excess of 600 kilometers (minimum payload). The Israel Defence Force (IDF) may become the prime operator of the Cormorant aircraft in the early 2020s.
