Description

The STAR-2000 (Solid-state Approach Radar) is a modular, solid-state terminal approach radar designed for both civilian and military air traffic control. Operating at frequencies between 2,700 and 2,900 MHz, it features a dedicated weather channel and an instrumented range extendable from 60 nautical miles (111 km) to 90 nautical miles (167 km) by increasing its peak power from 15 kW to 28 kW. The system supports various configurations, including stand-alone operation, integration with Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR)/Identification Friend-or-Foe (IFF) systems, or Mode S operation, with its data output format being configurable to match all transmission requirements.
