Description

The Telemos is a medium altitude long endurance (MALE) unmanned aircraft system (UAS) developed jointly by BAE Systems and Dassault Aviation to the requirements of the United Kingdom (UK) and French Ministries of Defense (MoD). Both companies agreed to develop a MALE UAS in March 2011 signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the program was unveiled in early June the same year. The Telemos UAS system will deliver real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities in support of military forces of the UK and France. The three-blade propeller, twin-engine aircraft system will feature a high level of autonomous operation compared to existing UAS systems of previous generations.
