Description
The Maritime Airborne Warfare System (MAWS) is a joint Franco-German program aimed at delivering a new maritime patrol aircraft by 2035. The aircraft will focus on anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and will be deployed beginning in 2035. The MAWS airplane is the replacement for existing P-3C Orion and Atlantique 2 ASW aircraft employed by Germany and France respectively.
