System
Alternate Designation MM-2
Type Anti-Personnel Mine
Manufacturer INA
Design A black bakelite body has a flat rubber pressure plate and an integral transverse fuze with a spring-loaded striker.
Arming Removing the arming pin from the side-mounted fuze cap releases a lead-shear mechanism to give a few minutes of arming delay. After this arming delay, the striker rests against a vertical shutter. Sufficient pressure moves the shutter down to align a window with the striker, which is released onto a stab-sensitive detonator assembly.
Range In addition to blast, the bakelite body produces secondary fragmentation to approximately 5m.
