Description

The 67N6E "Gamma-D" (Cyrillic: 67Н6Е «Гамма-Д») is a mobile, solid-state, D-band long-range 3D acquisition and air surveillance radar. It is designed for integration into both automated and non-automated air defense and air force control systems, and can also be used for air traffic control. With an instrumented range of 400 km, a range resolution of 300 m, and an accuracy of 100 m in range and 0.2° in azimuth, its export version is likely an optional component for the S-400 (NATO designator: S-21 "Growler") battery. The system comprises an active phased-array antenna on a turntable, an operator's cabin, a diesel power plant with two generators, and a self-contained power source for the cabin, with the antenna and turntable optionally mountable on a 23.8 m semi-mobile tower (radar deployment platform 40V6M). A remote control kit allows operation up to 15 km away via data link or from a cabin moved 1,000 m from the antenna, and the radar includes built-in automatic test and monitoring equipment, fire-alarm and extinguishing systems, and air conditioning.
