Description
The Khorramshahr-2 is an upgraded variant of the Khorramshahr missile equipped with a new warhead featuring fins to extend its range and improve target accuracy. The maneuverable warhead/reentry vehicle (MARV) may be intended to pierce ballistic missile defense systems operated by the United States, Persian Gulf States and Israel. The missile was first tested by the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2019.
