Description
The NOVA 9004 is a Surface Movement Radar operating at 9.37 GHz in the X-band (IEEE designation) or I-band (NATO designation). It employs a dual-channel system with circular polarization, though linear polarization is also possible. The radar provides a range resolution of 30 feet (10 meters) for two small targets separated by 15 meters in azimuth at a range of 1.5 kilometers, with an accuracy of 5 meters. Clutter processing is managed using a fixed mask. This system has been installed at various locations, including Oslo, Sydney, Chek Lap Kok, and Kuala Lumpur.
