Description

The Sarmat missile carrying up to 16 Yu-71 hypersonic glide vehicles each yielding 500 kilotons and an unspecified number of countermeasures that will translate into an array of fake targets for the missile defenses. The missile has a maximum range of 18,000 kilometers including the nukes hypersonic flat trajectory flight. This Sarmat hypersonic variant is expected to be placed in active duty with the Russian Strategic Missile Forces before 2025.
