LUMTAS
The Laser UMTAS missile, also known as LUMTAS or L-UMTAS, is a derivative of the UMTAS long-range anti-tank missile designed for the T-129 ATAK combat helicopter. Besides, LUMTAS can be installed on a wide range of platforms such as helicopters, light armored vehicles, close air support aircraft, Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAVs), ground fixed-position and surface ships. It is designed to engage armored targets day/night and in adverse weather conditions at ranges between 500 to 8,000 meters using an insensitive tandem warhead suitable against explosive reactive armor (ERA) protected vehicles. The LUMTAS can be lock-on target before and after launch. Its guidance system combines inertial measurement unit, two-way RF data-link to transfer the target area information after launch to the helicopter's weapon system operator, and a laser seeker. Once launched the missile is autonomously guided to the locked target with the data-link giving the opportunity to update the target or hit zone. LUMTAS missile is fully compatible with all modern attack helicopters compliant with MIL-STD-1760 standard.
