Description
The Qatar Emiri Navy Landing Platform Dock (LPD) is a multi-purpose ships being built by Fincantieri and slated for delivery by 2025. The 8,800-ton ship is expected to be equipped with the KRONOS Power Shield L-band AESA radar system. The sophisticated radar system will make possible to conduct air surveillance missions in addition to amphibious operations. Construction of the ship started in June 2021.
