Description

The Future Tactical Unmanned Aerial System (FTUAS) is a US Army program aimed at developing the next generation unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) intended as the replacement for the Shadow UAV. The new aerial system is expected to achieve initial operational capability (IOC) within the US Army in the early 2020s. In July 2019, the US Army selected four contractors to develop the new aerial system with the aim to select a winner by 2022.
