Description
The Indian ASAT is an anti-satellite missile based upon a three-stage rocket utilizing solid propellant boosters to hit targets in low Earth Orbit (LEO). The interceptor missile is intended to shoot down LEO satellites and other spacecraft utilizing high precision hit-to-kill principle technology. The Indian Armed Forces first tested the new missile successfully on March 27, 2019, shooting down a satellite at 300 kilometers of altitude.
