Description

The Barer, also called Bar'er, is a subsonic anti-tank missile system developed by the Luch Design Bureau of Ukraine to destroy moving and stationary armored targets equipped with advanced ceramic armor and explosive reactive armor (ERA). The warhead is a tandem hollow charge. The Barer missile is also capable of taking out other targets such as weapon emplacements, a tank in a trench, light armored vehicles and helicopters. The missile design is very similar to the Skif missile also produced by Luch. Both Barer and Skif missiles look like advanced derivatives of the Soviet-era Konkurs anti-tank missile.
