Description
The AN/TPX-26 is a Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) operating in the L-band, specifically between 1080 and 1130 MHz. This friend-or-foe interrogator, with a peak power of 1500 W and an instrumented range of 165 nautical miles (approximately 300 km), is an Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Mark X system with Selective Identification Feature (SIF). Developed in 1958, it is associated with the AN/TPS-1 acquisition radar and integrated into the HAWK air defense missile system, utilizing the primary radar's antenna.
