Description

The People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) Li Siguang, Type 636B?, is a new generation comprehensive test ship commissioned on October 11, 2014. The main purpose of this vessel is to conduct scientific tests related to the sea. The ship looks like a successor to the Type 636 and Type 636A hydrographic survey ships. The 6,000-ton class ship was designed and build independently by China starting in 2012.
