Description
The Jielong-1, or Smart Dragon-1 (SD-1) in English, is a space launch rocket developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) to support commercial launches. The rocket weighs 23 tons and can lift payloads of up to 150 kilograms to high Sun Synchronous Orbits (SSO) at roughly 700 kilometers of altitude. The Jielong-1 solid-fuel rocket performed its first flight carrying three commercial satellites on August 17, 2019.
