Description

The PARS SCOUT 6x6 Turkish Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) represents the latest advancement within the PARS vehicle family. These tactical wheeled vehicles are engineered for high mobility across diverse terrain conditions while offering superior ballistic and mine protection. They are equipped with modern technologies that confer strategic advantages, including enhanced situational awareness. The PARS SCOUT 6x6, along with its 8x8 counterpart, is specifically tailored for reconnaissance and internal security missions. This state-of-the-art tactical wheeled armored combat vehicle is designed to operate efficiently in both low- and high-intensity scenarios, providing users with significant strategic benefits. The PARS SCOUT 6x6 possesses a power-to-weight ratio of 20 hp per ton (including payload) and achieves a maximum road speed of approximately 100 km/h. It is capable of maneuvering on a 60% vertical incline, a 30% lateral slope, and surmounting obstacles up to 0.7 meters in height, while also traversing trenches up to 1.4 meters wide. The vehicle’s balanced design and optimized engine layout ensure nearly equal axle loads, facilitating efficient travel over loose and rough terrain. This design approach also maximizes control at high speeds and minimizes braking distances. A Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS) allows the driver to adjust tire pressure according to varying terrain conditions. Incorporating a hydro-pneumatic suspension system, the PARS SCOUT 6x6 delivers exceptional road holding and adaptability to different road conditions. The All-Wheel Steering (AWS) system minimizes the turning radius, enhancing maneuverability. The vehicle boasts a range exceeding 800 kilometers and features under-armour-protected fuel tanks. It is additionally equipped with run-flat tires and a self-recovery winch. The driver’s compartment, located at the front of the vehicle, is safeguarded by ballistic glass that offers a wide horizontal field of view, ensuring high standards of driving safety, situational awareness, and occupant comfort. The large ballistic windscreen, along with day/night cameras positioned at both the front and rear of the vehicle, provides the driver and commander with an extensive field of vision. The design of doors, hatches, personnel seats, and lighting elements emphasizes comfort for the occupants. The hull of the PARS SCOUT 6x6 can be modified to achieve a desired level of protection, thanks to its modular armor system. The hull shape, underbelly structure, bottom plates, and specially designed mine-resistant seating are engineered to protect personnel against significant mine threats. The modular connectivity of the vehicle’s subsystems to its mine-resistant hull facilitates ease of maintenance and prompt replacement, rendering it superior to alternative models. Moreover, the PARS SCOUT 6x6 is designed to support the integration of either manned or remotely controlled turrets and missile systems, in accordance with operational requirements. The vehicle features a high locality rate and includes domestically developed gearboxes produced by FNSS. Furthermore, many subsystems, particularly the suspension system, are developed utilizing local resources. The PARS SCOUT 6x6 excels in fulfilling the dual role of personnel carrier while meeting contemporary expectations for armored vehicles.
