Description

The Ulm al Almaradim-class missile boats have been designed to engage surface targets utilizing Sea Skua surface-to-surface anti-ship missiles. In addition to Sea Skua missiles, these boats are provided with a 40mm anti-aircraft gun, one 20mm gun and two 12.7mm machine guns. The propulsion system consists of two diesel engines developing 4,000-hp and a maximum speed of 30 knots. Eight boats were built in France and commissioned by the Kuwait Navy between 1998 and 2000.
