Description

The DNG is a derivative of the Leclerc main battle tank designed to carry out heavy tanks (up to class 70) recovery missions. It features a 12.7mm machine gun for self-defense purposes and a GPS-based navigation system. It is provided with a crane and a dozer blade. France ordered 20 DNGs plus and option for 10 additional units, UAE ordered 46 DNGs. The DNG, also known as DCL, can be outfitted with a mine plough called K2D for mine sweep missions, or the Minotaur anti-tank mine dispensing system. It is in service with the French and UAE's (United Arab Emirates) armies.
