Description
The P-18-2 “Prima” (Russian designation: 1RL131-2) is a highly mobile VHF-band air defense radar designed for surveillance and target acquisition, with an instrumented range exceeding 320 km. Operated by a two-person crew, it features rapid deployment with a setup and takedown time of only five minutes each. This fully transistorized radar, which employs intrapulse modulation, is a successor to the P-18 “Terek.” Its antenna elements are very similar to those of its predecessor, suggesting operation within the same frequency range of 150 to 180 MHz.
